1967 Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto

For sale is a rare 1967 Alfa Spider Duetto, accompanied by its original German registration documents. This gem underwent an extensive restoration process in 2013/2014, including a meticulous frame-off restoration and sandblasting of the body. The axles were powder-coated, and Mike Sanders cavity protection ensures long-lasting preservation. The Azzurro Spazio AR504 paint job bestows a unique elegance upon this classic. This early model boasts distinctive features such as Giulietta side drop indicators, Giulietta door latch mechanisms, a chrome interior mirror, and a 3-spoke Bakalit steering wheel. The 2-liter engine has been completely overhauled, featuring a lightened flywheel and a reinforced clutch, resulting in an impressive performance with approximately 4,000 kilometers driven since the restoration. The engine, gearbox, and differential have all been refurbished, and the braking system has been upgraded at both the front and rear. Equipped with 123 ignition, a hydraulic clutch, stainless steel brake lines, Bilstein B6 shock absorbers, and performance springs, this Alfa offers an exceptional driving experience.

The Alfa Spider Duetto is also a visual delight, featuring rare 7x15 steel wheels, new headlights, turn signals, and front bumpers. Even the Alfa heart emblem and all other badges have been renewed. Inside the cabin, you'll find numerous enhancements, from new seat cushions and covers to a fresh dashboard and Alfa Romeo rubber mats for both the passenger compartment and trunk. In addition, a tonneau cover has been added, and the original headrests are included. Notably, this Alfa Spider Duetto gained recognition through its appearance in the film "The Graduate" starring Dustin Hoffman, adding a touch of cinematic history to its illustrious legacy.

What sets this particular Alfa Spider Duetto apart is the meticulous attention to detail during its restoration. This attention to preserving original details makes it a truly exceptional and authentic classic car. As if the Alfa Spider Duetto wasn't already a showstopper on its own, there's a delightful bonus waiting to be unveiled – a 1966 Vespa 50cm, perfectly complementing the elegance and charm of the classic Alfa. Presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1966, the Alfa Spider Duetto was produced until the end of 1967, with approximately 6,325 examples built. This historical context further highlights the significance of owning this classic.
